Getting the Most Out of Golf Tournament Sponsorships

Golf Season is coming!  I know it’s hard to believe with the snow still on the ground but it is coming, I promise.  Along with Golf Season comes Golf Tournaments.  There are tonnes of opportunities around Calgary to participate in Golf Tournaments not only as a participant but as a hole sponsor.

Hole sponsorship can be a great way to generate leads for your business.  144 golfers will pass by your hole. That gives you 144 prospective clients who are standing around waiting for their turn.   What a great opportunity talk to them.

You should also have a promotional item to give to everyone in the tournament.  This can be in the gift bag the participants receive or you can give the item to them when they get to your hole.  I prefer the latter.  It gives participants a reason to talk to you.

There are usually possibilities for other advertising opportunities.  Take the time to ask about all the advertising opportunities within the golf tournament.  Golf tournaments usually have posters, tickets, and other print material that you can have your logo displayed on for greater exposure.

Make the most out of Golf Tournament Season.  Take the time to research all the advertising possibilities and talk to the coordinators.  Make sure you have signage, promotional items and the right staff member who can talk to people at the hole you are sponsoring.

Corporate Party Etiquette

It’s that time of year again… It’s Corporate Holiday Party Season!  While these parties are intended to create bonds between employees and increase morale, they can go wrong.   We’ve compiled a few tips to ensure that everyone has a good time at the corporate party.

Drink in moderation.  Remember these are your co-workers not your drinking buddies.

Don’t double dip the dip. That’s just gross. No one wants to eat your germs.

If this is your first office party, read the invitation carefully.  Are spouses allowed?  What about kids? It’s also a good idea to ask coworkers about what you should wear and what to expect.

Manners are always important.  Make sure you thank your host.

Attendance is mandatory.  You should and need to go to the party.  You don’t need to stay all night but you should go and ‘make an appearance’.  Besides is a great time to chat up the boss.

Remember spouses’ names.  It’s a simple but important tip. It will ensure that you don’t get into awkward introductions.

Most importantly have fun! It’s a time of year to celebrate.

What’s New for Fall

Many of us spent our summer at the lake, Stampeding, and spending time with our friends and families.  The team at Promotional Bridge spent our summer finding new products, working on our education, and a little fun in the sun.

Out of all the new products we have looked at over the past few months, there are a few that will be hot this fall.  There are new sport bottles that feature filters, or a shaker for your favourite protein powder.  Tote bags will continue to be a big seller.  Insulated tote bags are gaining popularity and will continue to be big this fall.

We know its fall and next year’s Stampede is a year away, BUT the Wrangler line is out for next year.  There are some excellent new styles and orders need to go in early to ensure delivery for Stampede.

Some of the new promotional items we found this summer are on display in our showroom, located in the professional wing in Southcentre Mall.

Batting Against Breast Cancer

Breast cancer effects 1 in 9 women! To an office full of women this number is staggering so we decided to do something.  We decided to enter our team into the Batting Against Breast Cancer Slow-Pitch Tournament.

Money raised from the tournament goes towards the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. The foundation uses the money to fund research, education and awareness programs.  They are dedicated to creating a future without Breast Cancer.

Help us raise money for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.  You can support our team by making an online donation here or you can make an old fashioned cash donation at our showroom in Southcentre Mall.

We would love it if you would support our fundraising efforts to create a world without Breast Cancer.
